About

Mission-Driven Software

Crudspa Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

We build and sustain free, open-source software for research, education, and public-interest work, and we partner with research labs, universities, and school districts to turn strong evidence and proven content into secure tools, hosted services, and scalable programs that can reach more schools, teachers, students, and families.

Our Mission

Crudspa Foundation builds and sustains free, open-source software for secure, data-driven platforms in research, education, and public-interest work.

We focus on the gap between a promising idea and a working platform. Research teams and educational institutions often have strong content, strong evidence, or strong program design, but still need secure portals, operational workflows, reporting, communications, and long-term technical stewardship to bring that work into practice.

Our mission is to help more organizations move from research to implementation, and from implementation to scale. That includes building shared open infrastructure, supporting evidence-based programs, and partnering with universities, research labs, school districts, publishers, and product teams that want to serve real users without rebuilding the technical foundation each time.

Our Support

Our goal is to become self-sustaining through hosting, support, content licensing, grants, and donations. Revenue from client work helps fund the open-source platform and the shared infrastructure behind it.

Philanthropic support helps us keep the platform open, build reusable tools, and lower the cost of bringing evidence-based programs into practice. It also helps fund the less glamorous but essential layers that too often get left out: implementation systems, reporting, district onboarding, secure data workflows, and long-term product stewardship.

We are especially interested in grant partnerships with funders who care about evidence, implementation quality, sustainable growth, and reusable public-interest software capacity.

Individual donations, organizational sponsorships, and grant-making partnerships can all help move that work forward.
